Hayla is a singer, songwriter, musician, and educator living in London, UK.
A lifelong student and practitioner of the arts, Hayla’s musical wanderlust, with a particular passion for diverse vocal traditions, has taken her to some wonderful places. This includes: the time she lived in the mountains of West Virginia, singing Appalachian songs with the locals, bears, and fireflies; performing at The Queen Elizabeth Hall (London); The Universal Hall (Findhorn, Scotland); at Schumacher College (Totnes, Devon); and not forgetting that time she sang on South Korean TV. Most recently, Hayla spent the summer singing and performing traditional Corsican polyphony in Corsica’s incomparably beautiful rural churches across the region, under the guidance of masters, Jean-Etienne Langianni and Frédéric Vesperini of Spartimu.
With a cache of nifty ideas up her sleeve, years of experience and training in many forms of music, a fiery passion for singing and learning, and a deep education in community-building and facilitation, Hayla’s great heart, warmth, ingenuity, humour, passion, and a wealth of experience, makes her an invaluable addition to any creative setting..
